www.wiredscholar.com has a good database for scholarships as well as info on scams and myths. Start now to search and apply.

Americorps offers students a chance to dedicate a year of service to America and in return receive money for post-secondary education. Obtain info at www.americorps.org

Wells Fargo is offering a program that links students with scholarships. Log on to wellsfargo.com/collegesteps to sign up for this free program.

USA Funds has funds available. Log on to www.usafunds.org for details.

CollegeInvest is offering several scholarships with no GPA or essay requirement. Log on to www.collegeinvest.org/scholarships to learn more and get an application.

State Tobacco Education and Prevention Partnership is offering three scholarships totaling $10,000 to sophomores, juniors, or seniors who have an article published about tobacco prevention. See Mrs. Duzik for an application. Deadline for fall is December 21 and spring is May 10.

The Charter Fund is offering need based scholarships to students who exhibit the ability to succeed in college. See Mrs. Duzik for an application or log on towww.piton.org/charterfund. Deadline is May 2nd.

The National Commission for Cooperative Education is offering several multi-thousand dollar scholarships to students planning to attend certain COOP schools. Log on to www.co-op.edu for an application.

Colorado Education Association's Ethnic Minority Advisory Council is offering four $1,000 scholarships to ethnic minority, high school seniors whose parent or legal guardian is a member of CEA. See Mrs. Duzik for an application. Deadline is May 1, 2008.

Rocky Mountain Water Environment Association is offering two $1000 scholarships to students pursuing a degree in the water environment field. Log on to www.rmwea.org for more information and for an application. Deadline is May 1.

Xcel Energy is offering a $500 scholarship to one graduation senior who plans to attend a Vocational School. See Mrs. Duzik for an application. Deadline is May 1.

St Michael Rosary and Altar is offering a $1000 scholarship to a senior who is an active member of St Michael church. Applicants need to have a recommendation from one of the Fathers as well. See Mrs. Duzik for an application. Deadline is April 18th.

The Northwest Colorado Snowmobile Club is offering 2 $750 scholarships to seniors. Preference will be given to children of members. See Mrs. Duzik for anapplication. Deadline is April 23rd.
