Log on to Cappex.com for a website that tells you which colleges want you before you apply and is giving away thousands of dollars in scholarships. Check out www.anycollege.net for great unbiased information about "any college". It's a great resource. Check out SchoolsintheUSA.com for information about careers, colleges, budget, linking articles about career and college choices. A great tool. www.wiredscholar.com has a good database for scholarships as well as info on scams and myths. Start now to search and apply. Americorps offers students a chance to dedicate a year of service to America and in return receive money for post-secondary education. Obtain info at www.americorps.org Wells Fargo is offering a program that links students with scholarships. Log on to wellsfargo.com/collegesteps to sign up for this free program. USA Funds has funds available. Log on to www.usafunds.org for details. www.scholarships.com is a great resource for scholarships. Check it out.
CollegeInvest is offering several scholarships with no GPA or essay requirement. Log on to www.collegeinvest.org/scholarships to learn more and get an application. State Tobacco Education and Prevention Partnership is offering three scholarships totaling $10,000 to sophomores, juniors, or seniors who have an article published about tobacco prevention. Deadline is May 2nd. The National Commission for Cooperative Education is offering several multi-thousand dollar scholarships to students planning to attend certain COOP schools. Colorado Education Association's Ethnic Minority Advisory Council is offering four $1,000 scholarships to ethnic minority, high school seniors whose parent or legal guardian is a member of CEA.
