Class of 1976

Calling all Class of 1976 - our 30th! reunion will be held on July 21 - 23, 2006.  We had so much fun at the 10th and 20th reunions that we can't wait for the next PARTY!  Don't worry if you have grey hair or you are hiding that perfect size 10 under a nice layer of insulation, just come and catch up on the years gone by.  We are looking forward to a great reunion!  Any class members, and their guest, who attended in Craig during any grade with the Class of 1976 are encouraged to attend. 

Friday, July 21 from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM:  Open house mixer at the pool house (not in the pool…) at Corrie Quillen Scott’s parents’ house at 2419 East Victory Way.  Snacks, sodas and a keg of beer will be provided.  If you would like anything else to drink, please provide it.

Saturday, July 22 at 6:00 PM til ?:  Catered dinner at the Shadow Mountain Clubhouse at 1055 County Road 7.  The dinner will include appetizers, dinner salad, broccoli salad, cauliflower black bean salad, fresh rolls, potatoes au gratin, and your choice of rib eye steak with grilled garlic or Margarita braised chicken.  If you still have room after all of that, there will be a chocolate fountain with fresh fruit, pound cake, cookies, and pretzels for dipping.  Coffee, ice tea and wine will also be included.  If you would like anything else to drink, please provide it.  Many surprises are in store for the evening.

Sunday, July 23 - Since most of us have no little children at home we did not plan for a family picnic.  Instead we thought those who want to could go to the breakfast buffet at Holiday Inn as a group, Dutch treat.  This way, those who cannot stay do not have to help pay for the breakfast of those who do stay.  We will need to know who is considering the breakfast so that we can let Holiday Inn know we are coming.

With this mailing is a questionnaire that will help let everyone know what you’ve been up to the last 30 years (if you can remember).  Please return the completed form in the stamped, addressed envelope as soon as possible.  Also, send a family photo to be included and we will make every effort to return it to you.  We will be making a directory/memory book out of the completed forms and pictures. 

Now to the nuts and bolts ~ the cost for the reunion will be $35.00 per person.  This includes the festivities for both nights (food, building rent, catering, etc.) as well as postage for the mailings and the cost of creating the memory book.  This would make your total per couple $70.00.  The Craig Chamber of Commerce will also be mailing out an information packet soon.  This will include information on hotels and other Craig happenings.  So far, Holiday Inn at 824-4000 and Deer Park Inn at 824-9282 are offering Reunion discounts.

Nothing official is being planned during the day Saturday.  The Museum of NW Colorado on the corner of 6th and Yampa has invited everyone to their Moffat County School exhibit.  Yes, our picture is in the museum – what does that tell you?  It really is a great exhibit and the rest of the museum is incredible for a town of our size.  Stop by Serendipity coffee shop next door for a cinnamon roll and coffee to get you started.
